Woman poses as ex's wife and seeks forcible rapes on Craigslist

A woman is facing 11 criminal counts for allegedly posting false Craigslist ads in an attempt to hurt her ex-boyfriend's regnant wife. The twisted tale includes some very disturbing details. If she is convicted on all the charges she is facing, she could spend the rest of her life behind bars.

The sordid tale begins when the defendant began dating a U.S. Marshals Service Agent in 2013. The couple broke up in 2015, but the woman allegedly couldn't let the man go. When he began dating a new woman, who is now his wife, things took a bad turn. That turn was so bad that the defendant had a protection order placed against her because she was stalking the woman and threatening a child.

In the most recent developments in this story, the defendant allegedly posted ads on Craigslist claiming to be the ex-boyfriend's wife. She was telling people who responded to have sex with her even if she resisted or screamed. She said it was a "rape fantasy."

One of the respondents to the ad actually did show up and attacked the ex-boyfriend's wife. She was able to call for help and the man left. It wasn't reported whether she was harmed in the attack.

The defendant was initially arrested on June 24 and posted bail, but continued to post the ads. She has been arrested again and is facing a $1 million bail.

The woman is accused of breaking a protective order, which is a misdemanor, with an enhancement since she is acussed of crime-bail-crime activities. Her charges include one each of stalking with a restraining order, stalking, assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense during the commission of a first degree burglary and criminal threats, as well as six counts of attempted forcible rape. Those are all felony charges.

Serious charges, such as those related to sexual offenses, require a firm defense. An experienced criminal defense attorney can help protect your rights as you go through the justice system.
