For those accused of a DUI: get legal help

Imagine for a moment that you go out to a restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday, or a coworker’s promotion, or just to have a fun time with family. At this event, you decide to have a few alcoholic drinks, and as such, your blood alcohol content is above the legal limit of 0.08. But you don’t know that at the time — and maybe in the spirit of the evening or even with all of the positive vibes you are feeling, you don’t even care. This is a mistake to be sure, but it’s a choice you make anyway.

When the night ends, you get into your car and attempt to drive your friends home. But barely a few minutes pass during the drive before a police officer appears in your rearview mirror and the blue and red lights come on. You are pulled over, and within minutes, you are placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Again, the decision to get into a car while under the influence of alcohol was a terrible mistake by the person in this imaginary scenario. But it isn’t unlike many real stories that people have lived through. They drink, get into a car, get caught and then they regret it for the rest of their lives.

A DUI is incredibly punishing. People who are caught will undoubtedly feel remorse about their actions. The consequences they will be subjected to, though, can be so severe that they may not recover from the incident. No matter the circumstances, people accused of drunk driving need legal representation to help with their case.
