Recently, the Denver metro area woke up to a high speed police chase. Early in the morning a car was left running at a gas station with a four year old boy inside. A simple stop to get coffee turned into a harrowing ordeal for one area parent.
Their car was stolen by a man who led police on a terrifying chase
throughout the Denver area. Ryan Stone, 28, who failed to appear for
his March 4, 2014 scheduled court date to face a “dangerous drug”
charge, was the man who stole the car. Thankfully, Mr. Stone left the
car with the child in it and stole two more vehicles. One such
vehicle he grabbed a woman and threw her out of the driver seat and
continued his desperate attempt at escape. He additionally hit a law
enforcement officer with a vehicle, severely injuring the officer.
Finally, he was apprehended by law enforcement.
Mr. Stone woke up that morning with a failure to appear in court for a
drug charge. If he had wisely contacted an attorney like the expert
attorneys at Shazam Kianpour & Associates, that could have been the
end of his problems. People fail to appear for court all the time and
we are highly trained to help them resolve the arrest warrant out for
them as well as to help them fight their underlying criminal case.
Unfortunately, Mr. Stone was not that smart. He instead decided to
try to elude police by stealing numerous vehicles, kidnapping a four year old child, seriously injuring a law enforcement officer and risking the lives of everyone he came in contact with. Mr. Stone may or may not be good at math, but to a District Attorney, that adds up to a likely life sentence.
Awful decision by Mr. Stone. Make a good decision.
