Drunk driving and other traffic violations can get you into deep trouble with the law, particularly if you cause injuries to others. When you choose to get behind the wheel while intoxicated, you’re making a personal choice to put yourself and others in harm’s way. There are ways to defend yourself if you are accused of driving under the influence when you were not or when you feel you were still sober, though.

Consider the charges the man in this case faces. Following the crash in this case, an investigation took place, and the police determined that the man should be charged with two misdemeanors for driving under the influence and another two for careless driving resulting in injury. He faces two of each because there were two victims.

The man who was accused of colliding with the Colorado Convention Center has been cited officially, according to a news update on June 7. The 25-year-old man had been driving when he drove his pickup truck through the doors of the convention center in Denver. The Denver Police Department responded to the scene and stated that two people had been injured. There were no reports on the state of the victims following the crash.

The police did not report the man’s blood alcohol concentration. This is something that should be reported; in most cases, a BAC will be taken once at the scene and then again at the hospital or police station. If this process isn’t followed in your case, you can use this to show that the findings may not be accurate.
